Marc Koska, OBE
FOUNDER & Trustee
Marc spent part of his early twenties crewing boats in the Caribbean and creating models to be used at crime scenes. A life-changing moment came when he read an article about the predicted spread of HIV and AIDS through the transmission of blood-borne diseases via syringe re-use. His interest was sparked and Marc has devoted the last 25 years of his life passionately to injection safety.
In 2006, Marc launched the SafePoint Trust to inform, raise awareness, and push for the adoption of universal standards, especially in the developing world where the problem is most acute. Marc and his wife Anna have three children and live in East Sussex. Read more about Marc here.
Often referred to as the ‘power behind the throne,’ Ginny is Operations Manager for SafePoint, and has a broad remit. Her role encompasses VIP liaising, office management, all around trouble-shooting, and helping Marc represent SafePoint in a cohesive way. She works intensively with Marc on policy change at the Minister level, and the implementation of LifeSaver campaigns.
Ginny's background is largely marketing and sales oriented. She lives in Sussex and has two children.
